I have a background in teaching children and adults including working with parents to help develop young children's confidence in language and the joy of sharing books together.
I grew up in Devon and returning there has coincided with focusing more on my writing.
I continue to research different historical periods for short stories and am working on a collection of poems.

I want to tell you about the birds came second in the inaugural Coastal Writing for Wellness Competition of the online poetry platform Writing at the Beach Hut, judged by Deborah Harvey. Writing at the Beach Hut is an inspiring blend of poetry, writing and beautiful photography inspired by nature and the coast.
